Belize is known for its multicultural demographic and its diversity really shines through during the Christmas time. The Christmas season in Belize is typically celebrated during the entire month of December after the Christmas Tree Lighting which marks the opening of the season.  The Christmas tree lighting has been an annual tradition in Belize City where everyone would gather at the Battlefield Park to witness the Mayor lighting the tall Christmas tree officially kicking off the Christmas season in Belize. while the lightning is being done there are some fireworks that make it better and interesting.  In Dangriga, Christmas afternoon is normally reserved for Wanaragua or Jankunu. The Jankunu dancers get dressed in white long sleeved shirts and pants with belts of shells tied around their knees and pink masks bearing European features. La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge is a grueling multi-day canoe race traveling a perilous river route across the country of Belize. The route runs West to East along the Macal and Belize Rivers, once the only link between beautiful San Ignacio, in the foothills of the Maya Mountains, and the bustling port of Belize City. This is a race for everyone (not just professional racers)!  The race brings commerce to the Belize River Valley as it travels down the river and builds a celebratory event at its stops.  

Independence In Belize

Belize a country full of entertainment and events like our September celebration a day we had our Independence. Belizeans celebrate Indepence with great honor in September 21. We have a big carnival day where the queen of the bay is elected. Then we have a jump up and a lot of entertainment with games for everyone.  Its so great being part of this celebration feeling like in family.  at the night they have the grito were we celeberate the 20 to stay up for the 21 to receive the independence day.  Belizeans come out and have a big parade where you can see the different schools participating with there bands and flags. After the parade beside the beach they have a big party, dance competition and some fun games for kids and adults and the the dance where you can enjoy and have a great night and the big fireworks. its a great month to visit our country. i guarantee you it will be a good experience in Belize.           ...

Easter in Belize

 San Pedro is the best place to come for Easter holidays. Having a nice day beside the beach with all the activities taking place at that place. It is good to come out and participate in this activities. you can see the famous artist in Belize were they participate carrying the cross throw the place. I'm surely you will like Belize! not only because of there traditions but how the people interact with a big welcome.
